Lake Of Ill Omen Hotzone Drop
Sunday, August 31st, 2008Looks like the Hot Zone drop for Lake of Ill Omen zone is a Petrified Bloodgill Eye. It’s a 5 hp/mana aug with a required level of 20. No Trade and Lore. Picture to follow as soon as I load photoshop on this machine. So far it does not look like there are other drops for this zone.
Franklin Teek - Hotzone NPC
Thursday, August 28th, 2008There is an NPC named Franklin Teek in the Plane of Knowledge that will tell you what the current hot zones are and also give you some quests for them. I have not tried the quests yet. He is located right in front of the zone in to the Guild Loby.
EQ Traders Corner In-Game Recipe Lookup
Wednesday, August 27th, 2008EQTC added a function to their site a while back that allows players to look up items, and recipes for items, directly from the EQ chat window.
To look up items from inside EQ:
Step 1: Type the following into your chat bar: /www eqtraders.com/i?
Step 2: Then click the item in your inventory that you want to look up and hit enter.
Step 3: Your default Web browser will open up directly to the EQTC page for that item.
Notice that letter i right before the question mark? That i means item. Use this to get information directly on the item. If you want to find out what recipes actually use an item, use this command instead:
To look up recipes from inside EQ:
Step 1: Type the following into your chat bar: /www eqtraders.com/r?
Step 2: Then click the item in your inventory that you want to look up and hit enter.
Step 3: Your default Web browser will open up directly to the EQTC page that lists recipes for that item.
Spell Parchment Conversion Chart Update
Tuesday, August 26th, 2008I’ve updated the spell parchment converstion chart to include spell parchments level 29 through 59. Some of the lower spells get a little funky since they can be used in multiple levels based on class. If there is a number and class in paranthesis it means that there is at least 1 spell made from that parchment for that level and class but the majority of spells for that parchment will be from the number to the left.
Also worthy of note, the lower level spells that use the ‘Hides’ have multiple hides they can be converted to. For example, a Raw Runic Hide can be converted to five different types of cleaned hides to use in five different levels of spells.
New Hot Zones!
Thursday, August 21st, 2008Well it looks like they added new hotzones yesterday. Here they are:
65 - 66 Shaman Spells For Kenworth’s Alt
Monday, August 18th, 2008So. Kenworth mentioned last night that he still needed his 65 and 66 spells for his shaman. Being the good guildie that I am I tolk him that I’d go ahead and make them for him when I headed up to PoK with my enchanter. I figured that since my research skill was at 293 it would be no problem and I could do it whenever I needed to restock. Little did I know that I would be doing it much sooner than I expected. As of about 4am all 14 or so of his spells were sitting in the guild bank waiting for him. Anyone interested to know why they were done so quickly can feel free to read my ‘Screaming Banshee From Hell De-Man’s Jhet At 1AM‘ post.
Anyone who reads this post and wants spells made (up to level 70) can contact Jhet or Xyzth on the Nameless server (only). I’ll make the attempt on any researchable spell for the price of 100p and the cleaned parchment neccessary to make the spell(s).
Car Warranty Issue Conclusion
Wednesday, August 13th, 2008I’ve finally finished the car warranty story. Part 1:Not Covered, Part 2: The Tables Turn and Part 3: The Resolution are now finished.
Also, at the end there is another short story about someone else who had issues at the same dealership after I did. Buyer beware indeed!
I’ve Started Playing Legends Of Norrath
Monday, August 4th, 2008So I started playing LoN on Saturday and I’ve got to say I really liked it. I tried playing once before but I never finished the tutorial. I think I tried to go through it too fast the first time and it ended up being too confusing. If you have played Magic The Gathering before, LoN is similiar to that.
I’m still not completely familiar with how the interface works. For some reason I have trouble building decks with my EQ looted cards. I’ll claim them with my EQ character and then go into the collection manager but I’m not sure what to do from there. Somehow I managed to get a starter set and most of my cards available in the deck builder area but I’m not entirely sure how yet. Ahh well, the random furious clicking method will work for now.
