I noticed something when PLing a monk of mine. The first hotzone I went with him was The OverThere. The experience was pretty decent. After I got him to 34 I decided to try out the Great Divide and skip Mons Letalis, the 35 hotzone, since it was a bit out of the way. That was a mistake. The xp in the Great Divide was not nearly as good as the xp in The OverThere. Here is a chart of what I found so far:
