Storm Of The Century!

A couple of weeks ago a nasty storm rolled through the Chicago area and did a lot of damage. The storm only lasted about 45 minutes but it really disrupted everyone’s lives.

To give you an idea of the trouble the storm caused, the traffic light on the corner of Rollins and Cedar Lake Rd was out from Monday morning until Saturday morning. Not only that but the businesses on the south side of Rollins road were completely out of power for the same time period.

So far I’ve only gotten one good picture of the kind of damage that was done. The picture below is of a tree that was ripped out of the ground during that storm. If I can, I’m going to take some pictures of several trees that I know of that were larger that were broken in half along Fairfield Rd.
