Xanathol’s Log Parser

Friday, September 19th, 2008

I was over on the SK Forum and I seen that Xanathol recently updated his EQ Log Parser. I downloaded it but have not had a chance to use it. From what the others are saying on the forum it seems pretty good though. If you want to try it for yourself I’ve included a link below:

EQ Traders Corner

Friday, September 12th, 2008

The owner of EQ Traders Corner made a post on her personal blog around the middle of August that was kind of scary for me. She was considering getting rid of the site because of the cost and time involved in running it. Why is it scary?  Well because I don’t know of any other site that details tradeskills so completely and efficiently as EQ Traders. Not to mention they do this all for free. Whenever I have any questions about tradeskills that is the frist place I head. I can’t imagine the site not being there.  Whenever I get a drop that I don’t recognize and it has the tradeskill tag on it, I know I can find out if it is going to be usefull to me just by visiting EQTC.

I really hope that they keep that site going but I know how time consuming it can be to run even a small website. Let alone a site with the amount of information compiled at EQTC.

Drakah Default_Old UI Update

Thursday, September 4th, 2008

Drakah has once again become my hero and updated the default_old user interface. I know I have a link to his UI update and a link to his forums on the left but this is just another chance to say thank you to him and let everyone know what a fabulous job he does for us :)

EQ Traders Corner In-Game Recipe Lookup

Wednesday, August 27th, 2008

EQTC added a function to their site a while back that allows players to look up items, and recipes for items, directly from the EQ chat window.

To look up items from inside EQ:

Step 1: Type the following into your chat bar: /www eqtraders.com/i?

Step 2: Then click the item in your inventory that you want to look up and hit enter.

Step 3: Your default Web browser will open up directly to the EQTC page for that item.

Notice that letter i right before the question mark? That i means item. Use this to get information directly on the item. If you want to find out what recipes actually use an item, use this command instead:

To look up recipes from inside EQ:

Step 1: Type the following into your chat bar: /www eqtraders.com/r?

Step 2: Then click the item in your inventory that you want to look up and hit enter.

Step 3: Your default Web browser will open up directly to the EQTC page that lists recipes for that item.

Drakah’s Default_Old UI Forum

Saturday, July 12th, 2008

I was over on the EQ Interface site looking for Drakah’s latest update for the Default_Old user interface when I noticed that he has his own EQ UI forum. I went ahead and signed up. I don’t see an update to the Default_Old interface yet but I’m sure there will be one soon.

Thanks Drakah for all the work you have done! I’ve played too long with the old UI to change and you’ve kept it running nicely for years!

Now this is funny.  I’m sure everyone else on the planet already knows about this but I just ran across it at work today.

The Guild

Sooo many things are just too true with this it isn’t even funny!
