Jhet Completes Shadowknight 1.5 Epic

Saturday, September 20th, 2008

Yeah! Tonight I finally finished my final fight and turn ins for my SK 1.5 Epic. The final battle with Sir Elmonious Falmont was…easy. We did it with 1 group of 80’s. Sk, Cle, Enc, Wiz, Dru, Rng. Actually the ranger was 75 and we had a boxed 80 Pal.  I was the main tank with 17.3k hp and 2866 AC. His max hit on me was 3479 but he only did it twice. Most hits were sub 1k.

Now onto the 2.0…

Shadowknight 1.5 Paladin Blood

Sunday, March 2nd, 2008

I just got finsihed killing the paladins for my sk 1.5 epic.  It was easy for me to 3box them after I split them apart. The two frogs, Uglib Gaibido and Xotmidd Ferlop, were both snareable but the others were not.  I took long enough that four of the paladins despawned on me but after a few minutes Tarnamil repoped and I re-hailed to have the pali’s pop again. I solo’d the first pali while the cleric and chanter sat there and didn’t go below 80% health. I probably didn’t need those two character but kept them just in case.

Splitting them wasn’t so bad, it just took me a bit of time. The first set of pali’s I snared one of the frogs and dragged the other five after me. When I was a bit away from them I FD’d and waited for the ‘Your enimies have forgotten you’ message. I got up and ran right away and they did not re-agro so I circled back and grabbed the frog that was left behind. All of the paladin’s will stay where you last left them until you go and get them again.

For the non-snareable ones I split them when they were casting. One of them would eventually start to cast as I was running and I’d feign death after he was finished. That would usually leave one broke off from the others.

The drop rate for me was three of four. Next up is the Western Wastes paladin, Sir Elmonious Falmont.

Skurza Slickutt and Giggleattabus Igglebix Down

Sunday, February 24th, 2008

Skurza was pretty much the same fight as Gubblegrot Smashfist and Silithis Sisnta. I’m not sure if he wanders or stays at 289 x -545. I waited at that location for less than a minute and he poped. so I took him out. Very easy 3box fight. 76 sk, 75 cle and 70 enc again.

Giggleattabus almost isn’t worth mentioning he was that easy. He does wander around so the loc in my 1.5 sk epic mob locations post is an approximate.

Now that that is done I’ve turned in the heads and received my Sheathed Innoruuk’s Voice. Next step is the Paladins in Kithcor.

1.5 Shadowknight Heads

Saturday, February 23rd, 2008

Last night and this morning I took out Silithis Sistna in Timorous Deep and Gubblegrot Smashfist in Ocean of Tears. Both were easily 3 boxed with a 76 sk, 75 cle and a 70 enc.

In my previous post I had Gubblegrot’s location wrong. His location is about -1880 x -1340 in OOT. He is located on top of the mountain and not on the beach. I did not see him wander anywhere so I assume he is stationary. If you are on the beach with the water behind you and facing the path going in toward the goblin camp he will be up the left side of the mountain. You will have to go up to see him. He is on a semi-plateau.

Getting to the Ocean of Tears was the hardest part. There were no gnome Translocators for OOT so I had to take the boat. Bleh!

Silithis was very easy to find. I went to the location in my epic mob location post and he walked right up to me within 5 minutes.

Neither mob was at all difficult. Most hits were in the 250 to 350 range with some spikes of 1100 to 1200. Both enraged at around 14%. Neither was more than a 5 minute fight.

Gilina Yilzior Location

Sunday, February 3rd, 2008

The location I have in my previous post is correct but Gilina Yilzior isn’t on the ground floor. She is on the top floor of the Northwest building on the evil side. Above the level that has the bridge going to the PoK library.

The Wailing Sister

Saturday, January 26th, 2008

The Wailing Sister in the Plane of Nightmare was pretty easy. Me and a 78ish necromancer dropped her pretty easy. It took maybe a minute or two. As a 75 sk I probably could have solo’d her without much trouble. If you wait at location 1077 x -714 she will walk up to you and you can get her with no adds. Next up are the five shadowknights.

The Wailing Sister PoN loc 1077 x -714

Fraga Converted to Frog Legs

Wednesday, January 23rd, 2008

I really thought this was going to be a difficult fight. Honest I did. I mean I see that Fraga hits for 2850…quad!…so I think I need some real firepower to take him out. So I get the usual group together from the guild, which just happens to be the entire guild (all 6 of us), and prepare for a pretty hectic fight.

Let me tell you…the longest part of the fight was pulling him to the group. There were no adds and once I pulled him to the group he lasted all of 20 to 30 seconds.  I think my hp may have dipped to 85ish percent at one point but that may have been because no heals came my way until that point. I’m not sure, it just went too quick. It pretty much went like this:

 Me:Gimme agro!”
 Wizard:Booom!
 Group:Mmm tasty frog legs!
Fraga:Would you like fries with that?

I’ll update this post and the previous mob location post with Fraga’s loc once I get home. Thanks again Crimson Snow!

Next post will be on killing The Wailing Sister in PoN.

*UPDATE: Fraga’s location is -1092 x -652 in the Plane of Valor

1.5 Epic Plane of Fear Amygdalan Knight/Warrior

Sunday, January 20th, 2008

First off a big thank you to Halfnotez of Valorguard on the Nameless server for dragging the Amy Warrior to me that had the Eye of the Dark God. Good luck on the Beastlord epic piece you were looking for!

This drop took me a while to get. The mobs were boringly easy to kill solo but the zone apparently has a 12 hour repop. Bleh! The third warrior that I killed finally had the drop I needed. The warriors and knights that drop the eye wander the zone and also pop inside of the giant ring of fire.  If you miss where the ring of fire is in the Plane of Fear your are quite frankly blind.

Finding A Gloom Nightmare

Thursday, January 17th, 2008

I was a bit confused on where to find A Gloom Nightmare so I thought I’d give some specific instructions.

When you zone into the Plane of Nightmare head East to the river/lake that is on the North edge of the zone. Go under the water and into the cave. Keep heading straight (North) until you reach the first intersection. It is a 4-way intersection so make a right (East) and follow it through. You will run by a bunch of mephits down this tunnel. Towards the end you will come to a drop off that ends up in a big round room. At the back of this room is another tunnel that is the only other exit out of this room. Follow this tunnel until you come out onto what everyone calls the plateau.

You should be at approximately location 1626 x -648.  You will have to wander around a bit to find the nightmares but it’s not really all that large of an area so it should be easy. Watch out for Vhaksiz the Shade. He doesn’t hit all that hard but has a ton of HP.  It took me a couple of minutes just to get him down to 99%.

Kill a few of these mobs and you’ll have your Gloom Nightmare Hide in no time. I got mine on the second kill.

1.5 Epic - Murkglider Breeder

Monday, January 14th, 2008

Ok so I finished my shadowknight 1.5 prequest without much difficulty. The Plane of Hate part took the longest with Mistress of Malevolence taking the longest to finally show up. I think I camped her for 4 or 5 days off and on. She was very easy to kill. I did it with self buffs only and solo.

The next step was getting the Murkglider Breeder to show up and killing him. I expected this to be a very long camp with all the posts about how people have sat there for weeks trying to get him. He showed for me on the second day (yesterday).

Now that he was up I thought I would go ahead and give him a try 3 boxing my shd, cle, enc combo. If I could have separated him from his Murkglider Spawn’s and kept the normal repops at bay, I might have been able to beat him down. That didn’t turn out so well though. I probably died half a dozen times in the attempts I made.

I started off trying to pull the Spawn pops through the west tunnel and then up north. I had some success with this and at one time I had 4 Murkglider Spawn mobs parked to the North of me (I was in that west tunnel fighting). When I pulled the Breeder though I got one add right off the bat.  Then his 2 Spawns poped. And then the hall started poping. The Enchanters (70) aoe mez seemed to work on the Spawns but not the other repop mobs. Later another enchanter was saying that she was not having success with the aoe mez so it may be hit or miss. Needless to say with 6 mobs pounding on me I took a dirt nap pretty quick. Further attempts by me 3 boxing were even less successful.

So I got my other four guildmates (yes we’re a small guild) and another former guildie to help me out. The group consisted of shd (75), cle (75), dru (73), enc (75), wiz (80) and nec (78+).  Our first attempt didn’t work out too well. This is where the enchanter was having trouble with aoe mez. On the second attempt the chanter used single mez and it went better. I was only able to drag one Spawn out of the way so it got a bit hectic. We ended up burning the breeder down pretty quick. I had to loot the egg quickly while the dru evac’d us to the zoneline. It wasn’t pretty but it worked.

Thank you Veit, Narine, Ezraziel, Keignomemight and Dakrayne!!! :)

I’ll tell you what though. I gave that A Gelatinous Murkglider Egg to Grand Librarian Maelin in a way he sure didn’t expect and took that stupid book from him while he was still squeeling and squirming on the top floor of the library!

Stupid gnomes…
