The wind nymphs in Dragonscale HIlls seem to be a good source of both Cobalt Ore and Superb Animal Pelts. I looted 5 ore and 7 pelts from killing around 20 nymphs. EQTC added a function to their site a while back that allows players to look up items, and recipes for items, directly from the EQ chat window. 
To look up items from inside EQ:
