The origins of Jhet Bhlak

I started playing EverQuest around mid 2000, give or take a year, as a female dark elf rogue on a server that I can’t remember the name of.  Hers was a short lived life. I couldn’t find my way out of Neriak so after an hour or so of running in circles I abandoned her.

Next up was a human monk. At least I could find the newbie area and interact with people…sort of. I still had not learned how to talk to other players at this point. And there was that slightly embarrassing incident where I was trying to fight with a pair of fire beetle eyes in my hands…until some kind soul told me to take them out to do more damage. On a positive note, I found out monks can kick their way to level 3! After leaning how to talk and fight, I quickly progressed to level 6! And realized I was on a pvp server…oops!  That’s not what i wanted.

So on to server number 3, Brells Seralis (sp?). On the advice of a friend I decided to start my first real main, a human cleric named Helum Lifegiver. I had a lot of fun with that character and met some good people, Adelle and Farorn to name just two. I even made it to level 44 back when the level cap was still at 50. Of course at this point I started getting bored with the cleric so I started my first dark elf shadowknight, Muleh. Get it? Human cleric, Helum…Dark elf shadowknight, Muleh…polar opposites…the names catch your eye? The names are in reverse, for those of you who are anti-dyslexic. Ya. I was a clever lad…*cough* not *cough*

Anyway, I loved the sk class from then on out but it was hard to get away from playing the cleric because they were so needed back then. My big break came when Farorn decided to switch servers to Innorruk (sp?). That is when I finally made the permanent switch to a dark elf shadowknight. And so Jhet Bhlak was born…
